Here's another brush drawing, this time done mostly with the point of the brush and some very soft pencil for the shading. It was painted on a postcard-sized chipboard from a cereal box, after being coated with some white paint for a consistent background color.
It got send off to my friend Charlotte Fairchild in the mail. She sent me back some cool poems.

Brushed Beach Blanket
I was on the beach with my sketchbook and an ink pen-brush, and there was this tourist woman relaxing on the beach. It was blazing hot, but she was in the sun. She moved around because she didn't know I was painting her, but I waited until she returned to certain positions to complete my sketch of her as she fidgeted.
