How Mediums Work

No - not the kind of mediums that you get messages from the dead. Below is the sort of stuff you make art with.  Here's an example of what happens when I'm picking up a new medium...


I was talking to a creative friend of mine about what make abstract art interesting. What I'm struck with when I view abstract stuff, is how the artist could sustain the same sort of movement on the surface over and over again.


(I'll show you tomorrow what happens when this is viewed another way...)

It's Been Awhile...

It's been awhile since I made my own artwork.  In fact, it's been so long that I don't really know what my artwork looks like. Yes, I did go to art college, but then instead of becoming a fine artist, I became a commercial artist. When you're making art for someone else, it is their purpose that you must address.

So I thought about it. After too much thinking, I decided to just draw and see what came out. Here is the first thing that happened...  is just a doodle of course... 

My New Blog!

This will be the blog where I'm going to put my artwork photos all in one place. Hoping it will help you to find them, instead of wading through my other blogs and websites.  Here's a photo of me with the evidence, next to where I drew graffiti all over someone's window during Christmas time. 

That black stuff on my hands is obviously blood. Art demands sacrifice.
