I'm At It Again...

It is always interesting when I'm asked to do some decorating, and it turns out when I get there to do the artwork that the situation is unique. In this case, there were blinds - and the person wanted winter scenes. Fun now the shadow of what I draw shows up on the blinds, isn't it?

Here's the other window I did for that same business, which taught gymnastics to kids. It's always tricky when you do a series of windows to make them match the same style. As you can see if you look at the rest of my posts here... I can do many different interpretive styles.

The first wreath below is a similar challenge, because the background was a frosted window which appeared light colored, which was lit from behind after dark. (Most windows provide a very dark background.)

This is an example of the way most windows appear - providing dark backgrounds.

Of course, there are many different styles of decorative wreaths - and I love doing ALL of them!

Some business have "mascots" who are the "greeters" of the store... So I'm happy to do portraits!

Poinsettias and ribbons are a nice motif for large frontages.

Window painting is also great for places that have busy windows, such as this drive-thru coffeeshop.

...and, nothing like a little detailed drawing for the people who come into your shop to look at while they wait for you to complete your services for them...

Hope that gives you more of an idea of the sort of artwork that you might enjoy!

My areas this year are in the San Francisco Bay - in Marin, Santa Cruz, and Petaluma.
