Wistfully, Wishful

Reminds me of one-panel humor in the New Yorker magazine...

I guess it needs no title.

What do you think that title should be?

Potted Aloe and Orchid

Flower sketches... Got a new drawing book with thick paper. It's gratifying to draw and paint on thicker paper that doesn't soak through to the other side.

Dog Man

Love me ...like a dog man!

It's a mono print, titled "Albezia In Path of Volcanic Flow"

Plantation House

Here's another brush drawing, this time done mostly with the point of the brush and some very soft pencil for the shading. It was painted on a postcard-sized chipboard from a cereal box, after being coated with some white paint for a consistent background color.
It got send off to my friend Charlotte Fairchild in the mail. She sent me back some cool poems.

Brushed Beach Blanket

I was on the beach with my sketchbook and an ink pen-brush, and there was this tourist woman relaxing on the beach. It was blazing hot, but she was in the sun. She moved around because she didn't know I was painting her, but I waited until she returned to certain positions to complete my sketch of her as she fidgeted.

Color paisley

I've been trying for a long time to convert an illustrative design I originated when I was only a teen into a color version. Think I've finally gotten the ability to do it! Wow - that took decades...

I know, it's only a doodle, but it's fun to do in color - finally.
